Our Story

Glu was created from nearly two decades of living with Type 1 diabetes.

I was diagnosed at 10 years old, and since then, diabetes has been part of my everyday life. Over the years, I’ve learned how to manage it, adapt to it, and most importantly, not let it define what I can or can’t do.

I’ve always been a huge sports fan, and I’ve also always loved creating, designing, and finding ways to make things more fun. That eventually led to the idea behind Glu.

Wearing a continuous glucose monitor is an important part of managing diabetes, but that doesn’t mean it has to feel boring, overly medical, or out of place. I wanted to create something that could make wearing a CGM feel a little more personal.

Glu is about giving people the ability to make their CGM match who they are. Whether that means representing your favorite team, choosing a color that fits your style, keeping things subtle, or simply making your sensor feel a little more like you.

Type 1 diabetes is something that can be managed. It shouldn’t stop you from playing sports, traveling, chasing your goals, or becoming whoever you want to be.

My goal with Glu is simple: make living with a CGM a little more fun, a little more personal, and a little less clinical.

Because your diabetes is part of your life, but it doesn’t have to define it.
